Leduc Society for Christian Education

The Leduc Society for Christian Education(LSCE) is the non-profit membership organization which founded and now, in partnership  with Black Gold Regional Schools, continues to direct and support the operations of Covenant Christian School.   Membership in the Society consists of  parents of current students,  current staff and supporters drawn from the ranks of alumni, alumni parents, grandparents ,etc.
The Society was formed in the early 1980’s by a group of parents with a vision for Christian education in the Leduc area.  Covenant Christian School opened its doors in September, 1983.
LSCE supports the ministry of Christian education at Covenant Christian in a variety of ways:

The Executive Board and several committees, all made up of parent volunteers, encourage the growth and development of the school in keeping with our mandate to provide Christ-centered education to our students.
The Society retains ownership of the school building and provides funds for capital renovations and expansion of the facilities.
LSCE operates a transportation system consisting of two buses to bring students to and from school and for field trips.
The Society provides funding to the school for the purchase of Christian resources for the library and classrooms, for staff training, for the purchase of supplemental staff time and services provided by other Christian educational organizations, such as the Prairie Center for Christian Education.
A pre-school program operates in the school under the auspices of the Society as well.

The Society employees include  the Society Administrator, a preschool teacher, two bus drivers, a transportation coordinator, a fundraising coordinator, an administrative assistant, as well as two custodians.
Further information about the LSCE and its relationship to Covenant Christian School may be obtained by contacting the Society Administrator, Lisa Gatzke, at the school office.
