    Principal’s Message

    Welcome back from Christmas Break!

I hope that as we return, you all have found some comfort in the routine and structure of school. I know that for me and my family, the holiday break quickly changes all sorts of schedules, and I find energy and solace in getting back to normalcy. While the weather throws me off a bit, the routine is empowering. My prayer is that God will bless and keep you in the 2024 year, I look forward to seeing what He has in store for our school and community this year.
As many of you know, the first spot most of you and our students will see me each day is in the parking lot. It is something that mostly brings me joy – even in the cold weather. With that said, in the colder weather, especially extreme cold, people’s patience can sometimes run out, and drivers can sometimes go for the quickest pickup, rather than the safest. Therefore, I wanted to give a reminder to you all before the extreme temperatures come later in the week, and more of you may be using the parking lot.

    Without further adieu,

    1) Use the entry driveway only to enter (south).

    2) Do NOT cut through the ditch EVER.

    3) Do NOT use the bus lane (even during bus cancellations).

    4) Our two driving lanes are single file only.

    5) Park only in parking spots, not in the middle of the road.

    6) Students will wait in the basketball area for parents to walk over to pick them up.

    7) If you cannot find a spot, you need to loop out of the lot and back around. Do not wait in the driving lanes.

    8) Students and parents both need to use the crosswalk.

    9) Only exit through the exit driveway (north).

    10) Give the right of way to those outside, it’s colder out there than in your car.

Please remember that if we can keep things structured and consistent for our students, it is safer for them. Patience and following instructions are integral to the safety of all of our students and staff. I will be in the parking lot guiding students, and do expect that we all set a good example for our kiddos.

    Thanks everyone!

Do you have bags of bottles lying around after your Christmas adventures? Gr. 3J and 3H are hosting an ongoing bottle drive at Leduc Bottle Depot. See the graphic below for ways you can donate!

    Spring Program Prop Request

We are now preparing for Aladdin Jr, which will be performed on March 20-21, 2024 at the MacLab Theatre here in Leduc.

We have started many projects but need some community assistance in preparing for the performance. Please help in the following ways.

    1. Costumes – A few parents are already working on dresses and costumes. We need a few more individuals who would like to design costumes for our cast, including pieces for our feature numbers.
    2. Construction and Painting – We have our Grade 8 parents working on sets, but we could always use more people to create, design, and build!
    3. Props – Please click on this link to view the list of needed props. If you have any of the items we could use, we’d be grateful for your help.

Please email Mr. Ward at [email protected] if you want to join the team!
