Principal’s Message
On January 14th, our Grade 6 class made the trek to Rogers Place to sing both the Canadian and American National anthems. It was such an amazing experience for them, and really neat to see our school’s name up on the big screen! They did a wonderful job and represented CCS very well. Thank you to Mrs. Bruinsma and her class for singing, and Mrs. McDonald, and Mrs. Matter for getting them all ready for their big day!

Grade 3 Popcorn Sale Fundraiser!
Spring Program Prop Request
We are now preparing for Aladdin Jr, which will be performed on March 20-21, 2024 at the MacLab Theatre here in Leduc.
We have started many projects but need some community assistance in preparing for the performance. Please help in the following ways.
- Costumes – A few parents are already working on dresses and costumes. We need a few more individuals who would like to design costumes for our cast, including pieces for our feature numbers.
- Construction and Painting – We have our Grade 8 parents working on sets, but we could always use more people to create, design, and build!
- Props – Please click on this link to view the list of needed props. If you have any of the items we could use, we’d be grateful for your help.
Please email Mr. Ward at [email protected] if you want to join the team!
Work Bee – THIS SATURDAY!!!
To kick off the production process, we are hosting our first Parents Work Bee this Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. During this session, we will be focusing on the creation of larger set pieces, particularly the palace, and organizing costumes. If you’re available to join us, it would be fantastic. I’ll be providing coffee and muffins for a snack. However, if you can’t make it this time, don’t worry – this is just the beginning, and we’ll be sharing a schedule of future work bees with you shortly.
If you can attend this Saturday, kindly confirm your availability by emailing me at [email protected].
For parents whose children are part of the Backstage Crew, please be aware that on Fridays, we often require additional tools like cordless drills. If you happen to have one that your child can bring, and you’re comfortable with them using it, it would greatly enhance our preparation efforts.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to creating a memorable Spring Program together.
