    Principal’s Message

    Dear Covenant Christian School Community,

As many of you know, golf has always been a passion of mine. It’s a sport that I truly love and find great joy in. Four years ago, I had a vision to combine this passion with our school’s fundraising efforts. I proposed the idea of a golf tournament fundraiser, and I was beyond excited to see it take off. Our inaugural tournament saw close to 100 participants, creating a wonderful day of camaraderie and fun that brought our community closer together.

This year, however, we are facing a bit of a challenge. Our registration numbers are significantly lower than what we have seen in the past. As someone who believes deeply in the value of this event, I am reaching out to ask for your support. If you enjoy playing golf, please consider signing up for this year’s tournament. Invite your friends, form a team, and join us for a day of fun and fellowship.

The tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 8th, and promises to be a fantastic event filled with exciting prizes, laughter, and memorable moments. Beyond the fun and the game itself, this tournament serves a greater purpose. It is an opportunity to support our school and our children in a meaningful way while enjoying a sport we love.

Participating in the tournament is not just about playing golf; it is about building community, forging new friendships, and strengthening the bonds within our Covenant Christian School family. It’s a chance to come together outside of the usual school setting and enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

I hope and pray that those of you who share my love for golf will take this chance to come out and support our event. Sign up, spread the word, and encourage others to join in. Let’s make this year’s golf tournament a tremendous success, one that reflects the spirit and unity of our community.

Thank you for your continued support and participation.

Mini Mall is Coming! – May 23

We hope you will join us for Covenant Christian School’s Grade 9 Mini-Mall! Our Mini-Mall has been an annual school-wide community event. It combines the Grade 9s learning in Social Studies on Economics with a fund-raising opportunity for their graduation by creating a mini-business to sell products to other students.

This year we are operating Mini-Mall in person. You can also preview items on the Mini-Mall Market Webpage HERE . Along with your child, you can look through the catalogue and engage in meaningful conversation about financial literacy, budgeting, stewardship, and consumerism.

The students’ products will be available on Thursday, May 23 from 11:00 to 12:30 pm. Homeroom teachers will be escorting children through the mini-mall at that time. Parents are also welcome to join us at the school for this event. Tickets will be purchased through your child’s Powerschool Account. Tickets are available in books of 10 tickets for $5. Most items cost between 2-10 tickets ($1.00-$5.00). No cash will be accepted or tickets refunded. All ticket purchases must be made through PowerSchool by 9:00 am on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. No Exceptions!

Celebration will be held on Thursdays for the month of May.

    Lost & Found

Just like Spring, our lost and found is GROWING! It has extended to another table! Please take a minute to look and see if any of the items belong to your household and either get your kids to stop by and pick up your items or email the office and we will try to send them home with them.

We will post weekly pictures of our lost and found. If you see something that is your child’s, please have them stop by the table and pick it up or let the office know.

All unclaimed items will be donated to a second-hand store by the end of the month.
