PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

It’s been just over a week since I shared the news of my upcoming move to Caledonia Park School, and I know that the initial shock of it all has probably turned to some disbelief for many. I’m right there with you—it's a big change. But my hope is that, as the dust settles, you’ll begin to feel what I’m starting to: excitement. The opportunity for fresh perspective, new ideas, and new energy is something I’m looking forward to—and I hope you can see that potential too, for both me and for Covenant Christian.

That said, my focus remains fully here, at CCS, until the very last day of this school year. There’s still a lot to accomplish, a lot of memories to make, and plenty of moments to enjoy together as a school community.

And after that? Well, I make the leap from “CCS Principal Simmons” to “CCS Parent Simmons”—and let me tell you, that’s a transition I’m equally excited and nervous about. I’ve been practicing my new role as the dad at Parent/Teacher Conferences, resisting the urge to give pedagogical advice and classroom management suggestions. (Pray for me, and for their teachers!) - Just kidding, Covenant staff, you all are amazing!

Though my role may be changing, my commitment to this community is not. My family and I are still very much a part of the CCS family, and I’m grateful my kids will continue to grow here, surrounded by the same support and love we’ve all cherished. We will remain very involved and you will continue to see us at many Covenant events!

Here’s to finishing strong—together.
