Principal’s Message:
I hope this message finds you in good spirits and high energy after the Thanksgiving long weekend. I wanted to take a moment to share with you the wonderful experiences my family and I had during these few relaxing and spiritually uplifting days.
The weekend started on a heartwarming note as we had the opportunity to spend quality time with my Grandma and Grandpa. Their improved health brought smiles to all our faces, and the moments we shared were truly precious. Witnessing their resilience and seeing them on the mend added an extra layer of gratitude to our Thanksgiving celebrations.
Because we live in Canada, and I have kids, we of course needed to leave our dinner a little early to venture to the hockey rink. My son had a game and practice over the weekend, and since I help coach the team, I had to also venture onto the ice. While I didn’t love the time slot, I also realize that they don’t stay little forever, and I love that he enjoys my help.
Finally, I was fortunate enough to hit the links for one last time this year! I sure appreciated the beauty of the trees and the warmth on my face as I got my round in. Don’t worry, I won’t have to put my clubs totally to bed, I play indoors over the winter months!
Joking aside, I couldn’t help but think that such moments are not just for us; they’re opportunities for everyone to embrace the beauty of the world around us. I hope each of you had a chance to step outside, breathe in the fresh air, and appreciate the wonders of creation during this long weekend. It’s these simple yet profound experiences that remind us of the importance of pausing and finding solace in His world outside of our busy lives.
As we move forward, let’s carry the spirit of this Thanksgiving weekend with us – the spirit of togetherness, gratitude, and appreciation for the little things in life. As I look to the news and see difficulties everywhere, I remember just how blessed we are, and thank God for everything we have in life. I am thankful for the support and warmth of this community, and I look forward to more shared moments that strengthen our bonds.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead.

Parent/Teacher Conferences – November 1st & 2nd
We will be holding our Parent/Teacher Conferences this fall again. We will be trying something a little different this year for timing. Since November 1 is a PD day, we will have openings for appointments beginning a bit earlier in the day at 2:00 pm and continuing on into the evening, and then beginning at 3:30 pm on November 2nd and continuing into the evening appointments on the following day, November 2.
We will be using our online program School Appointments to book appointment times. The scheduling program will open on October 18 at 9:00 am. An email with instructions on how to book an appointment with your child’s homeroom teacher will be sent out early next week, the information will also be available in next week’s Chronicle. We strongly encourage an appointment for each student in the school. If you would like to book with more than your student’s homeroom teacher (ie. junior high students have multiple teachers for different subjects), please contact that teacher directly to arrange a time to meet.

- musical instruments
- 3D Printers
